Reducing these downtimes is therefore a frequently discussed topic in our yard management workshops. The carrier accepts the freight order, integrates it into his route planning and books a time slot for the tour in <a href=\"https:\/\/leogistics.com\/en\/software\/cloud\/myleo-slot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">myleo \/ slot<\/a>. When the onboard unit of the carrier&#8217;s trucks is connected to our myleo \/ tnt, up-to-date information about the current position of the vehicle is available in real time. With the help of this information, the arrival time at the site can now be determined and made available in myleo \/ tnt. This data can be used at any time to provide information on the expected time of arrival. The provision of arrival data based on GPS information from the telematics unit creates a transparency that can provide advantages both for the carrier through reduced <a href=\"https:\/\/leogistics.com\/en\/blog\/adieu-chaos-of-dates-keep-the-overview\">waiting times<\/a> and for the shipper through more efficient planning.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be able to use the telematics data of the carriers, the topic of <a href=\"https:\/\/leogistics.com\/en\/blog\/gdpr-data-protection-regulation-logistik-software\">data protection<\/a> plays an important role at this point. The notification of truck information no longer has to be carried out by the dispatcher, as is usually the case. The size can be defined individually. As soon as the truck crosses the isoline (the boundary of the geo-fence), a message is triggered that can initiate an action in the receiving system (and in our case an automated removal).
